Rebecca is part of the Healthcare Team and has been primarily involved in litigation relating to medical malpractice, professional indemnity, public injury, and insurance law.
She has acted for insurers, medical professionals, local authorities, and has experience in directors' and officers' liability and dealing with regulatory bodies such as the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Rebecca obtained a BCom Law and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria and joined Clyde & Co in 2022.
Experience
Rebecca is experienced in dispute resolution practice with specialization in medical malpractice and insurance law, including amongst others:
- Advising insurers of their prospects of success; quantification of litigious matters, and defending such matters on their behalf.
- Representing medical professionals in claims of alleged misconduct reported to their regulatory bodies.
- Assisting clients with audit investigations.
- Assisting in large investigations and document and general data reviews.
