Navigating 2023: Projects & Construction

Our global projects and construction group has looked at the vital trends we saw in the last year and have made key predictions for the coming year.

Some of the key areas have been; building safety legislation in many jurisdictions, the continued pressure on contractors and their supply chains given the shortage and cost of labour and materials, and the on-going global focus on renewable energy. This is all linked to the urgency in government investment on global infrastructure projects post the pandemic.

We provide an overview across our international practice and in particular we have sought to highlight the growth of African economies which reflects our own expansion and focus in Africa. We also look at the continued activity and growth as the construction sector in the Middle East drives those regional economies. Likewise we address the considerable pent up demand for new construction in the US and the positive trends in Canada. In UK, Europe and the APAC region, funding of projects is key as are developments relevant to the legal process of construction disputes.
