Regional experience
Full Profile

Zaneta advises insurers and other firm’s clients on climate risk and disclosures, emerging biodiversity and supply chain risks and their wider implications for businesses and wider sectors. Her contentious practice focuses on complex insurance and reinsurance disputes with multijurisdictional aspects.

Zaneta combines her legal expertise with technical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which she developed during her time in the firm’s innovation hub Data Lab, to deliver forward-looking advice to the firm’s clients in the area of wider digital transformation.

Zaneta has developed and leads the firm’s engagement with The Chancery Lane Project, a global pro bono initiative that brings lawyers together to draft climate-conscious clauses focused on enabling voluntary decarbonisation of the corporate sector. She is often invited to speak about her work with The Chancery Lane Project at internal and external events. She also works with the firm’s overseas offices to get them involved in the Project’s work.

Zaneta has co-authored a report for The Law Society called “Climate change risks – the future of law as we know it?”, which discusses how physical, transition and liability risks will reshape the demands placed on lawyers, focusing on the problems around attribution, jurisdiction and accountability.

Before joining Clyde & Co Zaneta completed her LLB at the University of Glasgow and LLM in International Law with a focus on climate change and environmental law at the University of Cambridge, Downing College.
