Corrine is a Senior Associate in the employment team and is based in the Doha office. She advises on a full range of employment and immigration issues, with extensive experience in litigation, managing complex internal procedures, employee mobilisation and governance issues.

Corrine has over 12 years’ experience advising on employment law and advises clients in respect of all employment and immigration law in Qatar (in the State and the QFC), the UAE (including with the financial free zones) and Saudi Arabia. 

Corrine advises on a full range of contentious and non-contentious work, including complex employment litigation, providing strategic and commercial advice in relation to employment issues often involving multiple concurrent internal employment procedures, governance and regulatory issues and senior employees. She also advises on the full employment cycle, including recruitment strategy and onboarding, contractual and policy documentation, management of conduct and performance, terminations, pay, working hours and organisational issues (including large scale redundancy and restructuring programmes, cross-border issues and mergers and collaborations). Corrine also has particular experience in advising clients in the education sector, including advice in relation to student and regulatory matters. In addition, Corrine has extensive experience in training on all aspects of employment law. 

Experience

Corrine’s recent experience includes advising in relation to:

  • strategy and management of a complaint of discrimination to an employer in the QFC;
  • mobilisation of staff in Qatar both on and offshore;
  • mitigating risk in relation to employment and immigration issues arising on termination, repatriation and transfer of employment in Qatar;
  • litigation involving a number of allegations of discrimination in the UAE and overseas;
  • the responsibilities and liabilities for directors in a joint stock company in Saudi Arabia under the new Companies Law and other applicable regulatory rules and regulations, and preparing appropriate employment documentation for directors; and
  • a business emerging in a free zone in the UAE in relation to contracts of employment and an overview of employment law in the UAE.
