Sarah Lucas is an associate in the International Arbitration group and is based in the Paris office. Sarah focuses her practice on commercial and investor-state arbitration, acting notably in the construction and energy sectors.
Sarah has experience acting as counsel in commercial and investor-state arbitration under major arbitral rules, including the ICC and ICSID. Whether she is representing multinational companies or protecting the interests of sovereign States, Sarah acts for her clients on a wide range of complex, multi-jurisdictional arbitrations. She also deals with annulment proceedings with respect to investor-state arbitration awards.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Sarah was an associate with the International Arbitration practice of another international law firm. Sarah also worked at various arbitral institutions, including in the North-American team of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in New York City.
Sarah is admitted to both the Paris and New York Bars. She earned her LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a Master's degree in Business Law and Tax from the University of Paris II Panthéon Assas. Sarah also participated in the U.S. International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition.
