A partner based in our Manchester office, Sally Hancock leads our safety health and environment (SHE) regulatory team locally and nationally. Her work focuses on police and regulatory body investigations and prosecutions, as well as inquests.
Sally advises and represents individuals, public bodies and corporate clients through direct nominations. She also does this through insurer instructions. Such instructions are received across a range of industries including construction, manufacturing, care, leisure and transport.
On top of this, she regularly advises on crisis management and provides support in the aftermath of serious and fatal incidents. She advises on all stages, including regulators’ investigations, interviews under caution and internal investigations.
Sally’s caseload is wide and varied. It includes corporate and gross negligence manslaughter investigations, and incidents subject to Section 2 and Section 3 Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 prosecutions. Also in her caseload are road traffic prosecutions, including death by dangerous and careless driving.
Sally delivers training to clients and health and safety groups on a range of health and safety topics. These include crisis management, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) prosecutions, and incident investigation.
According to Legal 500, Sally is a “Leading Individual” in 2022. She is also “recommended” and has “a good eye for detail.”
