Nick is a member of the firm’s marine assets and projects team, he completed his training contract at the firm and qualified in September 2017.

He advises clients on a range of transactional shipping matters including financings, construction contracts and ship sale and purchase, relating to both commercial tonnage and superyachts.

As part of his training contract, Nick undertook a secondment at a global owner/ operator of petroleum and chemical vessels.

Experience

• Advising on numerous sale and purchase transactions relating to superyachts ranging from 23 metres up to 111 metres, acting for both sellers and buyers.
• Advising first-class European shipyards on contracts relating to the construction of new build superyachts.
• Advising major commodity company in relation to the sale of two vessels from its tanker fleet.
• Advising North American food production company in relation to the construction of six newbuild refrigerated container vessels.
• Acting for US private equity firm in connection with its acquisition of the subsea communications division of a technology company. The project involved conducting full legal due diligence of the relevant maritime documents.
