Global law firm Clyde & Co was named 'International Law Firm of the Year' for the second year in a row at the prestigious Legal Week Middle East Legal Awards 2021.
The recognition highlights the firm's exceptional growth in the Middle East and reinforces its leading position as the largest international law firm in the region. Located in the major commercial hubs of the region, Clyde & Co now has the largest presence and is one of the most experienced international law firms in the Middle East with over 40 partners and 300 staff.
In the past 12 months, the firm grew its Projects & Construction practice by adding Partner Beau McLaren and acted on a series of high profile matters, including advising major international contractors on the construction of the $3 billion Midfield Terminal Building at Abu Dhabi International Airport and advising Abu Dhabi-based National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) on its acquisition of NPCC to create one of the leading integrated EPC players in the UAE. In Saudi Arabia, the firm has advised on many of the Kingdom’s giga-projects as part of the Vision 2030 initiative and has acted on one of the biggest insurance cases in the history of Saudi's Insurance Disputes Committee. The firm also recently grew its Saudi practice with the promotion of two partners, Rizwan Osman and Mohammed Aldowish.
